Rooms: 10 comfortable guest rooms

Dining: Traditional pub fare and local beers

Entertainment: Live music nights and quiz evenings

“The Old Crown offers a truly unique experience, steeped in history within its 656-year-old pub setting. Expect authentic charm and lively evenings, though the age of the building also brings some quirks to the rooms. While the immediate area is less appealing, the pub's atmosphere and character more than compensate, for me.”

comfy bedbeautiful settinglarge roomempty shower gelworse stateguest noise
the bed in my room was super comfy! i slept so well! the historic setting was also very beautiful. the room itself was large and the bathroom was lovely too, i enjoyed it
I found that i didn't like being left half empty shower gels! it looks like they are trying to save money! the room was also in a worse state than the photos online showed. the noise from other guests was excessive. They socialised til 4.30am

mixed feelings about my stay

friendly staffstreet noisepoor window glazing
the staff were super friendly. they were cute and helpful, so that was nice.
I was expecting a better experience. the noise was a problem. The pub was loud, and it seemed to carry freely into the room until late. plus, the street noise was really bad. I could hear people arguing and shouting outside, almost like they were in the room with me. the lack of proper window glazing meant i didn't sleep well.
